Toxicity/Concern Questions - Comfort Zone® Diffusers


1. What effect will the Comfort Zone® Diffuser have on humans?
Comfort Zone® Diffusers are odorless, non-toxic and have no effect on humans.

2. What happens if this product is ingested by my pet? My child?
Pet: the contents of the device are not considered to be toxic at the amounts contained in a bottle. Should the product be consumed by your pet, do not induce vomiting and call your veterinarian. Diarrhea or gastrointestinal upset may result from consumption of the liquid contents. As with any unusual event, please consult your veterinarian regarding this incident and/or call Farnam Companies, Inc. at 800-234-2269.
Child: Please consult a physician if your child consumes this product.

3. Will my pet become dependent upon this product?
Dependency should not develop. Unlike certain drugs, pheromones are not known to cause the animal to become dependent on the pheromone.

4. Are there any adverse side effects of which I should be aware?
The product should not cause any adverse side effects if used in a manner consistent with the labeling. However, any chemical has the potential to result in sensitivity to animals. These constituents have been tested for toxicity, and are considered to have minimal potential for allergic reactions. Keep out of the reach of children.

5. Are there any problems that arise from a broken product container or diffuser?
Broken products should be returned to the point of purchase. Because this product is to be plugged into an outlet, the risk of electrical shock or fire could increase if the product is broken or damaged. Please do not use the product if the diffuser unit or refill bottle is damaged in any manner.

6. Are there any precautions to be aware of if my pet has free access to this product?
There should be no problems if your animal is exposed to the product for extended periods of time.

7. Is there danger in having the diffuser plugged into the wall after the product is gone?
There should be no problems if the bottle of liquid is empty and Comfort Zone® Diffuser is plugged into an outlet. However, if the product is no longer being used or is empty, we recommend unplugging the device.


Toxicity/Concern Questions - Comfort Zone® Sprays


1. Can the product be sprayed directly on pets?
No, never spray Comfort Zone® products directly on animals!

2. Will the product damage any furniture or furnishings?
The product will not stain and mark. Nevertheless, owing to the wide variety of materials used in household furnishings, we advise that you should test the product on a sample that is not easily visible prior to using it. Some natural and synthetic fibers may be adversely affected by any liquid product.

3. Do I need to keep pets out of an area for any period of time after spraying?
Yes. It is recommended to remove pets before treatment and allow the treated area to dry for 10-15 minutes before letting pets return.

4. Is the product safe around children?
Proper product use will not harm children. As with pets, children should be kept from treated areas during application and not allowed to return until after the area has dried. Keep container tightly closed, store at room temperature and keep out of the reach of children.
